The Renewable Transition

EBR Energy was established in October 2009. Since its establishment, EBR had a clear vision to address Pakistan’s acute power shortage issue through the use of proven renewable energy technologies. After over ten years of operations, team EBR is proud of the contributions the company has made to Pakistani society in general, and to our customers in particular.

However the great challenge which must be met to achieving the widespread application of utilizing solar power needs to be socially, environmentally and economically acceptable.

Tapping on the natural resources in a country prompts economic success. The sun is the most abundantly available natural resource. Globally countries are shifting to exploring new ways to promote solar energy.

One particular country that is advancing fast in tapping on its solar conversions in the past decade has been Uruguay and there is a lot to learn from their success.

EBR Energy believes in sharing global news on Renewables to keep the readers updated.

According to DW News, Uruguay’s natural resources are inadequate, but the Latin American country has plenty of sun, water and wind. To secure its clean energy future, the country is keeping up with the latest research and is training engineers to specialize in renewables. The transition to green energy has made Uruguay less dependent on fossil fuel imports from abroad.
Project goal: Reducing carbon dioxide emissions, achieving energy independence and producing enough green energy to export to other countries.
Project partners: Uruguay is being supported by the  International Climate Initiative (IKI) of the German Environment Ministry, as well as private and public partnerships in the country.
